Validating Orchid’s Hypertension Genetic Risk Score

Orchid's clinical reports include a genetic risk score (GRS) for hypertension, which has been validated on data from the UK Biobank. We present our findings from this validation study in the following white paper. We found that the GRS performed well, particularly for identifying individuals with elevated risk of the disease relative to the population. The hypertension GRS is available to individuals of European, Central South Asian, and East Asian ancestry. Availability for an individual may vary due to admixture.
