Validating Orchid’s Multiple Sclerosis Genetic Risk Score

Orchid's clinical reports include a genetic risk score (GRS) for multiple sclerosis, which has been validated on data from the UK Biobank. We present our findings from this validation study in the following white paper. We found that the GRS performed well, particularly for identifying individuals with elevated risk of the disease relative to the population. The multiple sclerosis GRS is available to individuals of European ancestry who have at least one first-degree relative diagnosed with the disease.
